Smith Center Fitness Attendant

Description:

● Answer questions regarding the facility and/or fitness equipment
● Ensure the cleanliness of the fitness floor and equipment; assist patrons as needed with equipment; responsible for adhering to daily cleaning schedules and ensuring that cleaning supplies are fully stocked
● Enforce policies to ensure safety; be alert to injuries and inappropriate behavior, and approach situation as trained or report to supervisor accordingly
● Consistently uphold all RecSports department policies and procedures for patron and employee
management related to position; critical thinking, problem solving within limits of department policy
and procedures, judgment to identify and apply existing guidelines, training, enforcement, and
communication for employees
● Provide a safe and effective environment for patrons
● Uphold service ethic, professional appearance standards, and Emergency Action Plan response
● Maintain frequent and effective communication with participants and coworkers
● Provide excellent customer service ADDITIONAL​ ​DUTIES​ ​&​ ​RESPONSIBILITIES
● Willing to work in a fast paced environment
● Willing to work nights and weekend hours
● Willing to perform physical work such as cleaning equipment, demonstrating proper equipment use
● Physical demands of the job include: standing, walking, reaching, bending, twisting

Qualifications:

    
● Possess a current American Red Cross Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certification, or ability to obtain one
within 30 days of employment

Hours per week: 12

Schedule:

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday

Hourly Rate: $8.08
