Notre Dame administers financial assistance on the basis of financial need. All students who complete the financial aid process are considered for University need-based scholarships. Transfer students are not eligible for merit scholarships.
A student should not wait for an admission decision before completing the financial aid application process. There are different application requirements for fall and spring transfer students, detailed in the charts and information below.

- Parent and student signed 2017 Federal Tax Returns
- Parent 2017 W-2 Form(s)
- Noncustodial Parent Statement (if applicable)
- Verification Worksheet
- Other documents as requested (e.g. business tax returns)

*Students who wish to be considered for state grant eligibility may have an earlier deadline for the FAFSA. Students should consult with their state department of education regarding published deadlines.
