Country Specific Scholarship/Grant Programs
- Freeman-Asia Award is specifically for students who would like to study in Asia.
- German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers Undergraduate Awards to highly qualified undergraduate students for study abroad, senior thesis research and/or internships in Germany.
- Bridging Scholarships for Study in Japan is for students who would like to study in Japan.
- Monbukagakusho Scholarships is for students who would like to study in Japan.
- Dorot Foundation - Dorot Fellowship in Israel is for students interested semantic studies in Israel.
- Marshall Scholarships is for students studying in the UK.
- John J. and Patricia L. FitzGerald Scholarship is awarded by Notre Dame International to Notre Dame students participating in the Angers, France program.
- Mara Rose Fox Memorial Scholarship is awarded by Notre Dame International to Notre Dame students participating in the Toledo, Spain program.
Non-Specific Scholarship/Grant Programs
- Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship enables students who have limited financial means to participate in study abroad opportunities worldwide.
- Gilman-McCain Scholarship provides awards of $5,000 for child dependents of active duty service members to study or intern abroad on credit-bearing programs.
- National Security Education Program - Boren Awards for International Study is a U.S. Government program to promote study in certain non-western countries. The program involves a national competition.
- INSIGHT into Diversity offers a scholarship opportunity for students from underrepresented backgrounds who may not traditionally be able to afford to study abroad.
- Council on International Educational Exchange offers scholarships and grants, including the Bowman Scholarship, which is for minority students. These are only for students who are applying to participate in a study abroad program sponsored by CIEE.
- Institute for the International Education of Students (IES) offers scholarships for students who are applying to IES programs.
- National Society of Collegiate Scholars members may apply for special scholarships through this organization.
- National Italian American Foundation offers scholarships designed for students of Italian American heritage.
- Fulbright Grant Program offers scholarships for students wishing to study abroad.
- Phi Kappa Phi Study Abroad Grants offers grants for students wishing to study abroad.

- Institute of International Education sponsors a variety of scholarship programs in addition to the Gilman Scholarships, the National Security Education Program and the Freeman Grant.
