Receiving Your Financial Aid Notification (FAN)

First-year Students: Restrictive Early Action

The Office of Financial Aid sends Financial Aid Notifications on a rolling basis beginning in January to first-year students admitted during the Restrictive Early Action cycle who meet the November 15 financial aid priority submission date for filing the FAFSA and CSS Profile and who submit their IDOC packet to College Board by December 15.

First-year Students: Regular Decision

Financial Aid Notifications for students who apply during the Regular Decision admission cycle will start being mailed in late March and will continue into April for students who meet the priority submission date for the FAFSA and CSS Profile of February 15 and submit the requested information to IDOC by March 1. 

Transfer and Readmitted Students

The Office of Financial Aid begins mailing Financial Aid Notifications in early June to admitted transfer/readmitted students (for enrollment in the fall) who meet the April 15 priority submission date for filing the FAFSA and CSS Profile and who submit their supporting documents to our office. 

The Office of Financial Aid begins mailing Financial Aid Notifications in mid-December to admitted transfer/readmitted students (for enrollment in the spring) who meet the November 15 priority submission date for filing the FAFSA and CSS Profile and who submit their supporting documents to our office.

Returning Students

The Office of Financial Aid begins emailing Financial Aid Notifications in early May to returning students who meet the April 15 priority submission date for filing the FAFSA and CSS Profile. Our office will continue to send Financial Aid Notifications to students throughout the summer. Returning students may view the status of their financial aid application and their financial assistance through insideND.
